looking for a challenge

I want to be truly tested. I want a challenge that I know I would fail unless I try my absolute hardest at it. Life is just too easy.

School is just too easy. I'm not claiming to be briliant or anything more than my average self but I think I am living proof that you don't have to be above par to get a degree. I think sometimes I purposely don't study because I want to see if I'll actually fail, to see how low the threshold really is. Take today's math 400 midterm for example. I procrastinated all weekend and finally started to study half-assed Sunday night, just like I always do. And the reward for my 'efforts'? A super easy exam with a fire alarm thrown in the middle so that it is postponed until Friday.

I NEED a challenge different from academia. Cycling across the world alone perhaps? Or how about getting lost in the mountains and having to really survive? Joining the army and testing my survival instincts? Getting completely lost in a foreign country without money, a passport and a common language? Please, anything to stop the hell that is procrastination, boredom and laziness....
